Chelsea and Sam’s celebration at the breathtaking Grangefields barn near Ashbourne, Derbyshire was a love-filled, music-infused, heart-melting celebration with fabulous party vibes all day long.
This Cripps & Co. wedding venue provided the perfect setting for their wedding day story. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, Grangefields is fast becoming one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the region — and for good reason. Chelsea and Sam’s story: This lovely couple met when they were just 15, following Chelsea’s move to Aldridge. Sam’s friends wasted no time knocking on her door, and although the couple didn’t get together until they were 19, fate clearly had a plan in mind for them! When they were 21, they welcomed their son Noah into the world, and he’s been their sunshine ever since.
Between football – they are both huge Liverpool fans, family golf sessions, and their shared love of Michael Bublé (they’ve seen him live six times!), they have created a life that’s rooted in friendship and unwavering love and filled with music and laughter. We were thrilled that they chose the platinum package from Ashmore Music, which features live wedding music throughout the day from the ceremony and drinks’ reception to the evening – when the party really starts!
When Chelsea and Sam first approached Ashmore Music to book three-piece wedding band the Ashmore Brothers to perform their live wedding music, we were delighted! We know just how special the eleven Cripps & Co. wedding venues are, having played at Shustoke Barn in Warwickshire before. Chelsea and Sam set a beautifully romantic tone for the ceremony, choosing Luke Burr’s acoustic cover version of ‘Is This Love’ for Chelsea’s entrance. The rustic red-brick barn was filled to the vaulted ceiling with the love and happiness of their friends and families. Live wedding music is such a powerful way to bring the ceremony to life and Chelsea and Sam’s song choices reflected their journey together to this point. While guests were taking their seats, the Ashmore Brothers played:

While the happy couple were signing the register, the congregation were entertained by the Ashmore Brothers rendition of:

Following the register signing, Chelsea and Sam exited the barn to a soulful, joy-filled Ashmore Brothers version of ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered.’
Once the formalities had been completed, guests headed into the courtyard and reception barn for cocktails, amid shared chatter and laughter, while the Ashmore Brothers played laid-back acoustic sets to accompany the drinks’ reception. For their first dance, Chelsea and Sam asked for a live version of ‘Precious Love’ by James Morrison, with guests invited to join them halfway through the dance.
