Wedding Heart FAQs

Booking Information for Live Entertainment –

  • How much do you cost? To prepare a quote, we need as much information as possible as every event is different. The precise cost depends on several factors: location, peak/off-peak season, early set-up, late finish, etc.

  • How do I book?

    • Step 1 – Contact us – We will require some booking details from you via email or telephone. These should include: your contact information, details of the venue, performance times, and any special requirements.
    • Step 2 – Secure your date – Once you are happy with all the arrangements, a small deposit is payable within 5 days to secure the date of the event.
    • Step 3 – Sign the contract – You will be emailed a contract using ‘Sign Now’. Simply add a signature, and the PDF is available to download.
    • Step 4 – Payment – A deposit will book your date, and the balance is due one month before the day of the engagement payable by Bank Account Transfer.
  • We know someone who will play at our event for a cheaper price. Why should we book with Ashmore Music? We are professionals – We also hold £10 million public liability insurance and all equipment is regularly PAT tested (portable appliance tested) for electrical safety. We have a wealth of experience in playing live, and all bookings are confirmed in writing. If you do decide to book a band with low prices, please remember that you usually get what you pay for.

  • Can we see you live before booking? In most circumstances, this is not possible as we specialize in performances at private functions. The best artists get booked very quickly, so if you find one that you like, you are much safer basing your decision to hire on the strength of their tracks, set list, biography, and references from other clients.

Performance FAQs

  • How much room do you need to perform? Our minimum space requirement is 10ft (w) x 6ft (d).

  • What are your power requirements? Adequate electrical supply, i.e. a minimum of 2 standard 3 pin, 13 amp power sockets near the performance area that are independent. If your marquee/tipi company has requested details, please advise that our PA system & lighting use approximately 2k and a single 16 amp power supply is not sufficient.

  • Will you need to sound check? Preparation behind the scenes is our preferred option, but we are also flexible with stage or performance areas. We need time to set up our equipment and check the sound levels, (minimum of one hour).

  • Is it possible to personalize the setlist? Yes, of course – Please let us know which songs on our setlist you would most like to hear, and any you dislike, however, we may vary the setlist running order on the day to suit the event. We require 6 weeks’ notice to prepare.

  • Will you learn a special song or songs not on your setlist? We are happy to learn songs that are not on our setlist (within reason) to make your event more special but we will require at least 6 weeks’ notice to prepare.

  • Is it a good idea for my guests to choose the DJ playlist? Yes, we can include guest requests. Most bridal couples send us a Spotify or Apple playlist link, or an old-fashioned list of their must-have played DJ tracks. We also spend a great deal of time building playlists that create a great party atmosphere.

  • How long do you need to set up? It usually takes us about 1 hour to set up, and we aim to arrive two hours before the performance.

  • What food and drink do you need? We may have travelled long distances to reach you, so we require a hot meal or a sandwich when we arrive at the venue and bottled water to keep up our energy levels.

Feel free to contact us if there’s anything we haven’t covered. Get in touch.
