The beautiful, picturesque setting of Curradine Barns in Worcestershire was the wedding venue for this Leigh and Callum, who met at school when they were only 14 years old and have now been together for more than ten years. When Leigh moved to North Wales as a student at Bangor University, the couple discovered a mutual love of walking, mountains, and everything outdoors during Callum’s frequent visits – they confess to preferring holiday locations in the middle of nowhere!
Callum proposed to Leigh during a holiday in North Wales in 2021 and of course, Leigh said “Yes!”. This was followed in 2023 by the purchase of their first home together, which needed a complete renovation. Their family unit was completed by the addition of crazy Sprockador puppy Trevor, who has just celebrated his first birthday. Callum and Leigh are completely besotted with Trevor and excited about the next chapter of their lives together, beginning with their wedding day.
Curradine Barns in Shrawley, Worcestershire, is an idyllic wedding venue. Set in acres of rolling countryside, it offers peaceful surroundings where all you can hear is the twittering of birds and rustling leaves. Although it is secluded, the venue is ideally placed for transport links all over the country via Worcester, with plenty of options for accommodation nearby for travelling guests.
Curradine Barns offered everything Leigh and Callum could possibly need. Beautiful, light-filled space with hair and makeup stations provides a relaxed atmosphere for pre-wedding preparations. This was followed by an unforgettable ceremony in the authentic barn, complete with original oak beams and stone floor, beautifully restored from its original use as a grain store. The wedding breakfast menu was uniquely tailored to their wedding, offering the freshest seasonal produce.

The Ashmore Brothers, the three-piece wedding band the couple chose for their platinum package from Cheshire wedding band agency Ashmore Music, arrived two hours before the ceremony was due to start, making sure there was plenty of time for their preparations and setup for the wedding. Hannah, Fin, and the rest of the Curradine Barns’ team was on hand to ensure that everything went without a hitch.

Leigh and Callum told Liam that they are huge ‘Scouting for Girls’ and Country Music fans, with a short list of ‘must play’ songs including their favourites. They picked four ceremony songs, which were played live by the Ashmore Brothers as an acoustic set whilst guests took their seats:

- Perfect – Ed Sheeran
- A Thousand Years – Christiana Perry
The song chosen for Leigh’s entrance, ‘You’re still the one,’ by Shania Twain, was a special surprise for her from Callum. They requested two songs for the signing of the register:
- ‘Everything’ by Michael Bublé
- ‘What a wonderful world’ by Louis Armstrong
And of course the happy couple chose ‘Ain’t no mountain high enough’ by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell as their exit song, reflecting their love of the outdoors and mountain scenery!
While guests sipped champagne at the drinks’ reception, the Ashmore Brothers played two 45-minute consecutive sets of relaxed, modern, and classic songs.
An iPod playlist played while guests tucked into their Wedding Breakfast, before the Ashmore Brothers really got the party started with two hours of live entertainment, including the a live performance of ‘Forever and ever Amen’ by Randy Travis for the first dance of the newlyweds, before inviting guests to join the happy couple halfway through. “The Ashmore Brothers were amazing from start to finish! The booking process was so easy, and they had good communication up until the day! We booked the platinum package, and they did not disappoint.
The band arrived at Curradine Barns a couple of hours before the ceremony to set up and were super friendly amongst the morning chaos! The guests (and me) loved dancing and singing along during the cocktail hour. On the evening they well and truly bought the party and honestly, we did not leave the dance floor.
